Pyhätunturi! Where the fells and the sky meet
Located amidst a beautiful and quiet landscape, Villa Ankkalinna is more than a villa; it is an unforgettable experience for you and your entire party.
The best of both worlds; nightless nights and starry birches in summer, the northern lights under a clear night sky amidst snowdrifts in winter.
Let's talk SNOW! ❄️
First snow ❄️
The first snow usually falls on the Pyhä fells in mid-October – a magical first glimpse of the coming winter. 🌨️ However, it often melts away before Lapland gets its permanent white blanket. 💦
Permanent snow cover ☃️
Permanent snow cover, which lasts throughout the winter, is usually achieved in November. ❄️
The most snow ❄️
As winter deepens, more and more snow accumulates, and at the end of March Lapland has the highest amount of snow of the year - a true Arctic fairyland that continues as far as the eye can see. 🤍
When does the snow melt? 💦
The snow starts melting in mid-April, although in some years it lingers until May. In 2025, the last snowfall was seen on May 21st! ❄️
